Hyderabad, City of Nawab, and Biryani

Last Weekend I was in Hyderabad, City of Nawab, and Famous for Hyderabad Biryani.

Angshuman & Balai & I, we 3 planned to have trip to Hyderabad. We went there by train & left Bangalore at Friday Night.

Saturday: around 11 AM we reached Kachipuda railway station, from there we took auto & went to Hotel Ritzy Orchid near a place called Lakdi Ka Pool.

After having bath & breakfast we first visited Husain Sagar Lake , around 3 KM from our hotel. Its big lake with Big Statue of Gautam Buddha at the middle of it. Lumbani Park & boat club is also there.

We spent almost 2 Hrs there & then decided to visit Salarganj Museum, But the Auto driver informed us that its going to be close at 4:15 PM & we will not able to see that. So we moved to Bawarchi Restaurant , famous for Biryanai. We ordered three & when we got that , we amazed , One Biryani was looking enough for 3 people & we have ordered theree :)
After this we moved to Golkunda Fort. Golconda Fort in Hyderabad is a majestic monument. Its almost 11 KM from City. What a big & beautiful fort it is. However most of the parts are completely ruined but you can feel how beautiful it was before. There is one wonderful feature. In the main gate there is one Area where if you can clap, the sound can be hear top of the fort. That was the signal the king’s army used to give message. We got a guide there who took 250 Rs & explained us each & every story of Fort & places.

It speaks of a great cultural heritage of 400 years and is considered as a place that is worth visiting. The world-famous ‘Kohinoor’ diamond is believed to have come from Golkunda. Another attraction is the Light and Sound show but we didn’t watch that.

It was almost 7 PM evening & then we moved to “Char Minar “ . Hyderabad is famous because of this monument. It was looking great in the moon light, However there were so much of people, vehicles running here & there. Such a crowdy place. Lots of shops are there including Bangle bazaar.

Finally we came back to our hotel & had rest.
Sunday :We decided to go Ramoji Film City , 30 km from city. We booked one Indica Taxi to reach there. Ramoji Film city is world biggest film city & also got place in Gunnies Book of world record. Well I heard lots of things about this place since my childhood & finally I was there.

It was Sunday & also the Friendship day , so naturally there were so many people including so many groups from colleges, schools. We too ticket 950 Rs for one person, Ramoji Star Experience & went there. Our first halt was VIP lounge where we were served welcome drink & Ramoji Cap. Then a bus took us to next destination “Filmi Duniya”

Filmi Duniya as name says world of cinema. Look I am in Hollywood. Ohh Angelina Joile is also here .

First we had a quick tour or Ramoji film city is amazing lift. It was fun ride. A must watch attraction. Another good attraction was “Action”, There they made a complete video & shoot one of the famous scene on Movie Sholey. They took one girl & filmed her like Basanti.

Then there were Stunt Show, Dance show , Meena Bazar. Stunt show was great. We saw how the people fights in the films with guns & action.

So many other games are also there . Overall its complete fun place , everything is there.

Another attraction was the Guided tour in AC Bus. You will get chance to see so many beautiful places which you have seen before in many movies. Lots of movies were shoot there. Where you can see Taj Mahal, Jama Masjid, Airports, Bombay High Court, Mughal Garden in one place?

Have you remembered the scene in movie “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”. Kajol & Shahrukh , Now see this place

Then for the friendship day special there was dance program. We left Ramoji around 6:30 PM & directly went to Railway Station , from there we had train at 10 PM.

Well It was really good fun at Hyderabad, We enjoyed a lot. City is good , everywhere is easily reachable by Auto but I saw the traffic there is so bad. In the two days i still don’t know how peoples were driving there. If you are crossing the road you need 4 eyes!!!!…Yes 4 Eyes..Right, Left, front & back…you never know when a bike or auto will hit you. One of the Indica driver told me that if you can drive in Hyderabad, you can drive any where in the world.
Finally we reached Bangalore on Monday 2 PM. Weekend over..back to work :(
