Explore Chhattisgarh

2012 was very good for me as I got chance to explore many places. Travelled most part of India but now when I see my travel map, the one thing is missing. My own backyard

Chhattisgarh as many stated it’s full of surprise. Unexplored and untouched. I never realized how rich and colorful is this, may be because everyone has tendency to ignore things which are close & not valued at his own place. Self-possessions are always undermined and other’s possessions seem better :-) .I realized when I visited places in south India, north east, central India. When I started comparing the sightseeing, I found Chhattisgarh has lots of potential to become good tourist destination.

It has everything, history, culture, water falls, caves, national parks, wildlife, ancient temples, hill stations for all kind of travelers. You have

• Chitrakoot water fall – one of the largest waterfall and considered as Niagra fall of India.

• Kutumsar Caves – One of the Longest Cave also famous for naturally blind fishes and frogs. Caves are discovered in 1993 and is well known for stalactite and stalagmite formations.

• Sirpur – The lost city, excavated and found many ancient temples. gold mine for historians, archeologists.

• Bhoramdeo considered as Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh, the perfect blend of religious and erotic sculptures.

There are many other places, Kanger valley national park, Barnawapara national park, Chamaparn, Mainpat, Tirthgarh waterfall. Baster is famous for its rich tribal history and culture, Bastar art. Chhattisgarh is very well connected by road, trains and air. Most of the cities and towns are also very well connected and journey to all the popular destinations are comfortable.

I took some time and started exploring the idea of promoting Chhattisgarh state as one of the important tourism hub. Visited many websites, youtube videos, travel sites, travelogues .Surprisingly there are many sites about the Chhattisgarh and you have enough information. Now my plan is to take some time out from my work and explore the Chhattisgarh.

Idea is to explore the Chhattisgarh first, share our experience, provide all the information to traveler and encourage others to explore this truly amazing unexplored state of India.
